Mobile immobiliers are those who install and use a smart phone as their primary device.
It is a popular mobile app for controlling vehicles on a variety of modes, from stop-and-go traffic to emergency response.
The technology is being used by more than a million people in Canada and is used by hundreds of thousands of people across the country.
It can be used for things such as monitoring and controlling a car, and even for controlling a home.
Some of the biggest challenges that mobile immobilisers face are the lack of a clear understanding of how their devices work and how to install the software.
The main barriers are the fact that there are no clear guidelines around how to use the technology and that people often don’t understand the implications of what they are doing.
“If I have a problem with the software, I don’t know how to get it fixed or what’s the right way to use it.
The person doesn’t understand that, that’s the problem,” said Michael Meehan, who has been a mobile immobiliser for 10 years.”
It’s a bit like when people are new to using their cars and it takes time for them to understand that.”
It’s not just the technical aspect of the technology that is confusing, he added.
“There’s a lot of misunderstanding around the impact that the technology has on the environment.”
The biggest issue is the lack, or lack of understanding of the implications.
“The best thing I can do is tell people what they can do, and then they’ll go and do it, because the technology is going to make them safer,” said Meehans wife.
The mobile immobilist community needs to educate themselves about the technology so that they can make the right decision.
“We need to educate people on the importance of the equipment and what it does, and how it affects their everyday life, not just their car,” said David Binder, president of the Canadian Automobile Association.
“A lot of people don’t want to do it because they’re worried about what they’ll do if something goes wrong.
It’s important that people are educated about the risks of the technologies that are out there.”
The Canadian Automotive Association has set up a website for the mobile immobilizer community to learn more about the devices and how they work.
“This technology is really useful, and it’s something we’re all familiar with,” said Binder.
“But we’re also aware that there’s a certain amount of ignorance around it.”
The industry says that the main barriers to the adoption of the mobile device technology are that there is no clear understanding around how the devices work, and that the software is often confusing.
“Mobile immobilisers have been around for a long time, and they have a very strong and well-developed understanding of what the technology does, but they also have a lot to learn,” said Scott Pardie, vice president of technology for the Canadian Mobile Industry Association.
“This is a very important learning process for everyone involved.”
The CMA is trying to educate the public about the technologies and has created a page on its website where people can get in touch with someone who might have experience with mobile immobilizers.
The Canadian Auto Association is also working with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) to help people understand the technologies.
“I think the technology itself is really good,” said Pard, “and I think it’s great for the industry.
I don, though, think that they need to do that to educate consumers.””
I’m going to try to do more outreach with the industry, to give them the tools that they should be using, but I think they should educate themselves first,” he added, “so they can understand the technology.”
