Samsung is offering a new version of its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6, which has a camera sensor that rivals Google’s Pixel 2 XL and HTC’s One M8.
The Galaxy S5 was released in September.
The Galaxy S8 will be the first Samsung phone with a camera with optical image stabilization, according to the company’s blog post.
Samsung says the camera sensor on the S8 is “much stronger and more accurate than the S6.”
It also says the new sensor is more compact and thinner.
The S8 and S8+ are expected to launch later this year.
